The Opportunity Our Information Technology team at the Otago Regional Council is looking for an IT Business Analyst to join the team on a permanent, part/full-time (30-37.5 hours a week) basis in our busy Dunedin office.
The purpose of this role is position is to drive business improvement for ORC, building customer relations, conducting business analysis, reviewing business processes and working with customers to identify areas of improvement and enhancement using current and new IT services. This role is critical in bridging the gaps between business strategy, enterprise architecture and business processes.
As an IT Business Analyst you will be responsible for:
Providing business analysis to enable change by defining needs and recommending solutions that deliver value to stakeholdersEstablishing and maintaining strong working relationships with key business partners, acting as a champion and enabler of Business Improvement across ORCProviding consultative support to business partners in executing their respective processes and initiatives, coaching and guiding on any areas of improvements Advising project leads or sponsors on key business process risks and issues impacting ORC, providing workable solutions as requiredAbout You Our ideal candidate will have:
A relevant tertiary qualificationFive years' experience in an IT Business Analyst capacity, ideally with a focus on Business Process Improvement (BPI) At least three years' experience using best practice operational models, process analysis, and documentation techniquesAbility to holistically examine a business process through business process mapping; effectively identify process improvement opportunities.Strong communications skills with a proven ability to work as part of a teamA copy of the full position description is available on our website when you select the link to apply.
