Job Responsibilities:
Enhances the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
Maintains job descriptions for all positions
Supports organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; and recommending changes.
Manages WSIB, STD and LTD disability claims
Establish and periodically reviewing the new hire orientation training and process
Preparing, scheduling and presenting annual Back to Basics training and other required training programs.
Scheduling and conducting performance evaluations;
Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; hearing and resolving employee concerns; and counseling employees and supervisors.
Implements employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits; recommending benefit programs to management; directing the processing of benefit claims; participate in evaluating benefit contracts.
Ensures legal compliance to applicable provincial legislation, (Employment Standards Act 2000, Human Rights Code, Occupational Health & Safety Act)
Enforces management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
Manages human resource staff by participating is recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training process
Advances human resource staff job results by counseling, planning
Contributes to Presidents annual Hoshin as requested by manager
