The Loan Syndications & Agency team specialises in originating, structuring, arranging, underwriting, and distributing syndicated loans and providing agency services across all relationship and Corporate Finance product segments. We arrange and distribute loans to banks and increasingly to institutional investors throughout Asia Pacific on behalf of a broad range of borrowers seeking to raise debt to either fund an acquisition of a business or asset, develop a project, refinance existing debt or for general corporate purposes. The successful candidate needs to be a strong leader and team player to work in this dynamic market leading team. This role involves working extensively with senior management of borrowers, investors and internal stakeholders including Relationship Managers, Risk, and other product partners such as Project Finance, Leveraged and Acquisition Finance and Loan Markets and Execution. In this role you will be one of the most senior members of the Corporate Finance team with the responsibility to lead and drive origination of new Syndicated Loan mandates across a portfolio of existing and target customers. You will lead deal teams in ensuring these transactions reach financial close in a timely and efficient manner while providing an exceptional customer experience. Role Type: Permanent Location: Tamaki-makau-rau, AucklandOu Pukenga? | What will you bring?To grow and be successful in the role you will ideally have, or aspire to have, the following: Strong leadership and marketing skills in a financing environment to drive the origination of new transaction opportunities. Experience in research, analysis and/or credit in an institutional, corporate banking or structured finance environment. An interest and understanding of financial markets, and a sound understanding of accounting principles and credit risk assessment fundamentals. Strong deal leadership to develop and support strong, long-lasting relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients. Working knowledge of facility and security documentation Strong organisational skills, including competent time management with the ability to work across multiple transactions concurrently. Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Well-developed interpersonal written and oral communication skills. Accounting, Finance, Legal or business-related tertiary qualifications. You're not expected to have % of these skills but a willingness to learn them is critical.
