This is mahi that will improve the health and well-being of everyone in Aotearoa, and we've got an opportunity for you to be part of it.Te whiwhinga mahi | The OpportunityThe Group Manager Risk & Quality Assurance is a senior member of the Hospital and Specialist Services team that has collective accountability for maintaining and enhancing Hospital and Specialist Services and implementing and supporting Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora priorities.This role provides strategic leadership across Hospital and Specialist Services in relation to the development and implementation of updated Risk and Quality Assurance frameworks and provides specialist leadership and advice in Risk and Quality Assurance matters to Regional Director's and their senior teams to ensure delivery against agreed targets and priorities. The Group Manager will lead, manage, and review organisation wide processes for Risk and Quality Assurance management. Working as part of the Hospital and Specialist Services leadership team, they will oversee the delivery of Risk and Quality Assurance reporting that tracks performance, identifies potential issues and opportunities, and provides relevant support to Regional Directors, Group Director Operation's and their teams.You will be experienced in developing and implementing effective group/team strategies and work plans that deliver on organisational objectives. Previous experience of running hospital services at a senior level will be beneficial in this role. Can utilize your skills, from previous roles in programme management and exposure to complex programmes of work, to lead programmes that best support the delivery of the acute care priorities.Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business Administration, Commerce or other relevant qualification, or equivalency in experience to support oversight of a critical programme and project management office.Certification and/or proficiency in service transition qualifications in areas such as Software Delivery Lifecycle including Agile/Scrum models, Project Management Certification (Prince2 or similar) desirable but not essential.Post graduate qualification in statistics, operational research, systems thinking or risk management desirable but not essential.Has proven experience in programme management, experience with ministerial, Board and executive level engagement, presentation, reporting and facilitation and can demonstrate experience providing leadership and senior expertise to inform future decision making for work programmes that best support the delivery of the acute care priorities.Can demonstrate experience in the design and management of complex programmes of workA commitment to being a good Te Tiriti partner in all your actions.
