The Role
The key focus of this role is to oversee, manage and lead the finance team (three accountants) to deliver high quality work in a timely and accurate manner. The team is high performing and requires a senior accountant who is detailed, knowledgeable, confident and proven in their leadership and technical experience and who thrives in a busy environment.Required Experience / Skill Set
To be considered for this opportunity you will be a fully qualified accountant (CA/CPA or equivalent) that has experience in leading people and getting the best out of them and is fluent in both English and Chinese.
You will have the ability to think on your feet and thrive in taking ownership and responsibility for the performance output of the finance team and will always to look to improving processes for optimal output.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting accounting team and overseeing accounts Receivables, accounts Payables, stock, and bank reconciliations during the month.
Attending regular reconciliations of other balance sheet items including prepayments, deposits, accruals, loans, etc.
Managing fixed asset register and regular reconciliations to the general ledger accounts.
Overseeing all tax requirements including liaising with external accountants and tax agent on all types tax calculations, return filings and tax payments including but not limited to GST, PAYE, withholding tax, income tax, etc.
Coordinating the accounting team and producing timely monthly financial reports to the management.
Reporting to management and providing advice on how the company and future business decisions might be impacted,
In conjunction with management, develop long-term business plans based on these reports, develop strategies that work to minimise financial risk
Working with external accountants and assisting with compilation of financial reports in a timely manner
Assisting management with budget and cash flow projections (monthly and yearly) and manage cash flow for the group companies including monitoring credit control policies, debt collection process, suppliers credit terms and payments, and arranging external funding, etc.
Ongoing monitoring and development to improve accounting process and internal control system
As well as formal qualifications, we are looking for:
CA/CPA preferred
5+ years? experience in commercially orientated finance roles will be a ?must have? for this role
An analytical mind
Negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships
Commercial and business awareness
Good communication skills ? verbal and written (fluency in both English and Chinese is an advantage)
A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data
Ability to manage outputs within time constraints
