You will embrace change and be able to build strong team cultures that deliver exceptional services to our tangata whai ora and their whanau. You'll also ensure that our services are appropriate, responsive and equity focussed and support our mahi to be a leader in peer influenced services valuing lived experience and the peer principals. Are you the exceptional leader we're looking for? About the Role | Mo tenei turanga mahi As general manager, you'll be based in Wellington, Whanganui or Masterton and report to the chief executive. You'll provide inspirational leadership and management within the Central region as well as provide strategic input to the organisation nationally, as a key member of the Pathways Executive team. Just as importantly, you will foster and grow strategic relationships with other key people and organisations in the sector, so we can work together to improve mental health, addiction and wellbeing services throughout the region. You will have a team of regional service and relationship managers reporting to you. They in turn will lead teams of team coaches, who manage a range of adult and youth wellbeing services in the region. You will provide strong values-based leadership to them to ensure the highest quality service and to nurture and grow your team as leaders. To build and maintain these relationships with your team and key stakeholders, you'll need to be able to travel regularly within your region, as well as nationally to connect with the Pathways Executive team. This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm. However, as a senior manager, you'll need to be prepared to support your team and be responsive outside business hours. About You | Mou: You'll be an experienced and respected leader with proven leadership and people skills and knowledge of the New Zealand health and social sectors. You'll have a comprehensive understanding of contract management alongside strong communication skills. You will be a strategic thinker, always seeing the long-term vision and striving to make that vision a reality. As a people person and a collaborator, you'll naturally build strong relationships and enjoy the opportunities to travel and get face to face interactions with your team and stakeholders. You are known for your own development and that of your reports and region for encouraging your commitment to te ao Maori through mana enhancing kaupapa. You will have a proficient grasp of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, te ao Maori me ona tikanga and a  proven track record of initiatives that build the capability and capacity of Maori. You will have a tertiary qualification in management and/or health, strong experience as a leader with a demonstrated commitment to community development and you'll hold a full driver's license.
