General Manager Operations

Our successful and growing construction client is searching for an experienced General Manager Operations to join their team This is a newly created role and will be responsible for providing leadership across all business areas ensuring the business maintains a high standard of service delivery safety and profitable operations This role will oversee the operational delivery of project performance against budget time quality and safety standards as agreed internally and externally with clients The GM Operations will ensure project delivery will be to agreed standards project planning programming are accurate and effective This role will be responsible for management of financial and nonfinancial resources and take ownership to strengthen all aspects of operational delivery Strong inspirational leadership skills are essential to champion a business supportive and engaged providing the best service to clients Responsibilities include Ensure that all new projects are well researched and extensive consultation and involvement of all the stakeholders is undertaken Signs off each stage of the project life cycle from feasibility through to construction and completion Works with the GM s to convert sales pipeline to order book and determine approach to customer projects Understand the impacts of funding allocations on the project planning and budgets and implications of decisions Ensures an appropriate risk management framework in relation to infrastructure sales and delivery is developed and implemented In conjunction with the Executive team develop an operational business plan for long term strategies and goals Understand the customer s needs and develop a plan for increasing customer engagement Lead product service development and efficiency projects to deliver improved margins over the longterm whilst maintaining customer service Consistent and clear leadership to inspire staff We are looking for an experienced leader to oversee a large project and delivery team to be the most successful they can be We are looking for someone who is commercial and strategic but also happy to roll their sleeves up and really understand the nitty gritty of the operations and projects being delivered Ideally you will have worked in the construction industry but we are also open to candidates who have worked in large complex project environments If you are interested in being considered for this role please apply now or call Kiri Brooks on 021 437 436 for a confidential conversation
