Middlemore Central provides a 24/7, Operational Service for Middlemore Hospital, a large tertiary hospital based in South Auckland, and is responsible for bringing a number of key activities together - all operating from a central location. Add our Emergency Department, which is one of the busiest in Australasia with over 110,000 adult and paediatric patients per year providing a wide range of clinical experience, and you have an exciting and challenging opportunity to make your mark as the General Manager for this area.
We are trialling a new clinical leadership model where our Clinical Director with frontline experience is leading the way. We are looking for a General Manager to support our Clinical Director to lead the delivery of safe and effective services within Middlemore Central and our Emergency Division.
The General Manager will be accountable for delivering sustainable results on matters delegated by the Clinical Director. Key result areas include:

To be suitable for this role you will ideally have experience in financial management under constrain delivering sustainable system and process performance improvement as well as the ability to provide strategic direction to the team. There will be demands to deliver a wide range of complex services in a timely way within financial and other resource constraints so experience in a similar environment is required.
