We're looking for a dynamic and passionate General Manager. As the General Manager - Mana Ahurea, you'll be leading a team of talented and passionate design professionals at the forefront of promoting Cultural Design Integration, Cultural Narratives, and facilitating the delivery of Cultural Workshops and translation requests. With your generative leadership skills, you'll be working hand in hand with partners, stakeholders, and clients. You'll be the driving force behind the successful delivery of Mana Ahurea projects, ensuring mana whenua are engaged and informed every step of the way. Within this role, you will be responsible for: Leading and inspiring the Mana Ahurea team, empowering them to achieve the cultural aspirations of papatipu runaka. Fostering an environment of growth and excellence through regular reviews and providing the right training opportunities.Collaborating with the Leadership team you'll oversee the development and delivery of various cultural services like Art & Urban Design, Translations, Cultural Workshops, and more.Your ability to connect with iwi, runaka, and stakeholders will be essential.Staying updated on regional and national affairs, providing expert advice and support to your team and runaka representatives.Developing, evaluating, and executing annual work plans and budgets.The successful candidate will have: Alignment with Aukaha values, authenticity, and accountability.Proven experience in project planning and management.Financial and analytical skills and the ability to manage a wide-ranging work portfolio.Ability to communicate effectively and produce well-written reports.Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or a minimum of 2 years' relevant experience.Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including iwi, communities, and local government.Commitment to meeting the aspirations of mana whenua and promoting Kai Tahu cultural values.Previous experience working in a kaupapa Maori environment, utilising te reo me ona tikaka is advantageous, but not required.Please note this role is fixed term to March 2025 Aukaha is guided by Te Tiriti o Waitangi in committing to bicultural responsiveness, equal employment opportunities and workforce development.
