Requirements
What’s the role?
You’ll be paving the way on a new platform to help people improve their health and wellbeing, working with a small but close-knit team as we tackle the work in a strongly agile fashion, continuing to shape the product as we go. You’ll be standing up and challenging our assumptions, both from a code and a general perspective, and helping to shape a world class user experience.
As the project evolves there will be opportunities to tap into exciting technologies and innovate on ways we might leverage the latest techniques into great outcomes for people from all walks of life.
Is this for you?
You have excellent communication skills.
Software development is as natural to you as breathing:4+ years of experience in a commercial setting.
Experience building high quality web and / or mobile app front-ends using industry standard technologies.
Experience building well architected modern backend applications.
You have some experience with cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP.
You’re an ace at agile development and you really know - and can show your experience with - the whole software dev life-cycle.
You’re effective by nature - you like to move fast, you like prototyping, and you love validating and being thorough in all aspects of your day-to-day job.
Bonus Skills
Exposure to modern Javascript front-end frameworks; ReactJS, ReactNative or VueJS
Experience using microservices architectures, server-side platforms (.NET Core, Node.js, Python etc.)
You need a reasonable opinion around here so you can share recommendations and alternatives objectively. Plus, it helps when deciding where to go for lunch.
Documentation and communication (in-person, email, slack, carrier pigeon if need be) doesn’t scare you.
Strong stakeholder management skills - you know how to dig deeper to understand expected outcomes , and to provide respectful push back when required.
