Financial Controller - Planning & Reporting

Our Opportunity:
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will manage the Financial Planning and Reporting Team, which forms part of the wider Finance Team at Mercury. Your team is responsible for sharing of information to inform, provide insight and influence the wider Mercury business in pursuit of better commercial outcomes. You'll be joining an environment where your voice will be heard and where senior management value the role you play.
In this role you'll lead a team whose capabilities are leveraged across the business with key responsibilities including:
Coordinating the ongoing evolution of the group's integrated plan based on the strategic establishment and management of planning processes that are outcome focused
Ongoing development and management of the reporting needs of the business, including the preparation of finance reports for the shared service functions, the EMT and Board
Financial reporting obligations, including Group's interim and annual statutory accounts, Crown reporting and quarterly operational updates
We are looking for:
A people leader
Tertiary qualified with appropriate professional qualification of equivalent (CA, ACA, CPA, CIMA, etc) preferred
Significant experience that has provided you with the opportunity to develop strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence
Strong project management, financial and management accounting ability
Experience in the creation and subsequent delivery of strategic projects
