Financial Accountant - Fixed Assets

The Pitch
Coca-Cola Amatil NZ are looking for a Financial Accountant, ideally with Fixed Assets experience, for a 6 month maternity leave fixed-term contract. Are you a qualified or part-qualified accountant with fixed asset experience in a large organisation? Are you a logical-thinker with an eye for detail who can challenge assumptions, get to the heart of issues and improve processes? Can you build relationships across an organisation and drive policy that is for the good of the business? If so, then you may be the Financial Accountant (Fixed Assets) that we are looking for.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager (Control) you will have end-to-end ownership for all capital related matters. With oversight of the capex approval process, you will support the business with robust work-in-progress reporting, strong governance & policy enforcement, maintenance of tax and accounting registers, as well as providing guidance on appropriate accounting treatment and useful life assumptions. With exposure to all functions within the NZ business, you will work closely with project managers, Finance Business Partners and the AUS Fixed Asset to support a review of capital management to drive improvements. You will also be responsible for general financial accounting tasks such as supporting month-end close activities, general ledger reconciliations, supporting audits and liaising with external tax consultants as required.
What Do I Need?
We are looking for an energised and financially astute person with strong fixed assets experience in large, complex organisations. You will be adept at managing competing priorities and relish understanding processes to drive improvement. Preferably with SAP experience, you will have a track record of enforcing accounting policy and robust controls, possess good MS Office capability - particularly Excel, and have excellent interpersonal skills. Most importantly you will have a strong alignment with our company values - take the lead, keep it real & stand together.
