Join a dynamic and fast-growing NZ Consumer Goods company as our in-house Intermediate Accountant. We're looking for a switched-on and organized person who will take ownership over all our day-to-day accounting and financial needs. The role covers both managerial and financial accounting, and you'll be responsible for accounts payable and receivable ensuring you embed the correct financial controls as well as providing timely and accurate financial reporting and tracking against our annual budgets. W e're looking for someone who is extremely diligent, trustworthy and wants to develop their skills and knowledge quickly.You'll work closely with our COO, CEO and external Accounting Partners and be pivotal in the smooth running and profitable growth of our company. This role would suit someone who has worked in an Accounting role for 2-4 years and is motivated to be grow quickly and lead our finance team in the future.Role will include but not be limited to:Accounts Payable/Receivable: creating invoices and bills in Xero, processing payments, monthly book-keeping and reconciliations. Diligently chasing up payments when needed.Financial and Management Reporting : month-end processing and reporting including cash flow forecasting and ensuring all transactions are coded correctly to generate accurate and insightful reporting. Managing the company P&L and Balance Sheets.GST Management : managing accurately our GST and VAT requirements for New Zealand and Australia.Financial Year End : ensuring all costs, income, assets & liabilities are allocated accurately at year end and finalising Accounts, tax payments etc with our accounting firm to be submitted in a timely fashion.Forecasting and Budgeting : work with our COO to develop business and financial plans, set and monitor financial targets, and implement processes to detect risks.Order Management & Invoicing : Assist our Logistics Manager on Australia and New Zealand order management and billing.New Customer/Supplier set up : establishing correctly in Xero with all the correct terms, cost and sell prices and carton configurations.Stakeholder Management : build effective relationships across the business and with external partners.Investment Strategies : as the business grows work with the COO/CEO on investment opportunities for the businessSpecial Projects and other : involvement with special projects and other related duties as required.WHO'S A GOOD FIT?· Currently working in an accounting firm or as an in-house Accountant and looking for more variation and opportunity in their role.· Must be well versed in Xero and financial and managerial accounting practices.· Must have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.· Strong communication skills to manage external and internal stakeholders.· Proficiency in mathematics.· Experience in Consumer Goods/Grocery Retail a bonus.· Fast learner and problem solver.· Highly proactivity and can work and deliver solutions autonomously.· Excited about working and driving growth in a start-up environment.· Aspirations to grow into running our Finance team in the future.BENEFITS· Flexible hybrid working environment.· Work with a young, dynamic team based in Newmarket.· High versatility in role with strong learning opportunities.· Work across different markets.· Direct relationship to C-Suite team to learn and develop.· Opportunity to grow the team in future and fast track to management.#J-18808-Ljbffr
