Management Accounting & Budgeting (Accounting)This is a fast-growing global niche financial services organisation that is privately owned, with the head office located in New Zealand.We are searching for an experienced all-round Accountant to support the Head of Finance and who has the desire to grow their career as the business continues to expand.This is a newly created role, and the successful candidate will be focused on putting new finance processes and procedures in place and partnering closely with the business to add value.You will be responsible for managing and improving the month end close process for the group, supporting the forecasting and budget process, training finance and admin team members and supporting finance projects as they arise.The successful candidate will ideally have: A strong understanding of accounting principles and practicesA solid understanding of month-end close processes, financial reporting and balance sheet reconciliationsA strong desire to progress their career further within management accountingExcellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial dataThe ability to mentor or develop junior staff within the finance functionStrong MS Excel and data skills (Power BI would be ideal)An accounting qualification (CA, CPA, CIMA or similar)You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as you will be interacting and partnering with people all across the organisation. You will enjoy building strong relationships with your stakeholders.Located in downtown CBD, with stunning views of Auckland's harbour, this organisation offers flexibility with hours and hybrid working, with most of the team working in the office 3-4 days per week.
