Established in 1995, our client provides quality health, social and education services for all who reside within the rohe of Tuwharetoa Ki Kawerau and Eastern Bay of Plenty. He aha te tunga | About the role The Finance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all finance procedures and the day-to-day financial operations for Tuwharetoa ki Kawerau Hauora are achieved, with the support of a full-time finance administrator. This role works closely with management and the Board to ensure integrity and accuracy of all financial information as well as speed and efficiency of financial reporting. Key responsibilities of the role include: Oversee payroll processes, processing payroll if required Oversee accounts payable and receivable, troubleshoot and provide guidance as required Cash book and general ledger management Asset and fleet register management, ensure assets are correctly acquired, tracked and disposed of Completion of quarterly reviews and spot checks of assets Insurance maintenance and management, ensure all assets are correctly insured and insurance policies are reviewed annually, responsible for amendments to Board insurance policies Attend and provide financial reports for monthly management meetings Lead and manage the organisations financial operations, including development and implementation of annual financial plan and budgets Strategy development, planning and reporting Financial management, oversee day-to-day financial affairs, ensuring most effective use of resources and expenditure Kaimahi management, this role will have direct reports Leadership and training Nga pukenga me whai | The ideal candidate will have: A relevant professional qualification in accounting or finance Advanced accounting knowledge and skills, with 5-10 years relatedexperience Broad knowledge of quality systems management and risk assessment A sound knowledge of Xero, NZA Gold or similar accounting package Experience and working knowledge in accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to negotiate, lead and direct Experience managing multiple projects and meeting stringent deadlines Advanced computer, I.T and use of management information systems skills Excellent administration and leadership qualities It goes without saying that you will be a confident leader, able to deliver results, by championing and empowering your team through strong vision and leadership.
