Established in 1995, our client provides quality health, social and education services for all who reside within the rohe of Tuwharetoa Ki Kawerau and Eastern Bay of Plenty.He aha te tunga | About the roleThe Finance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all finance procedures and the day-to-day financial operations for Tuwharetoa ki Kawerau Hauora are achieved, with the support of a full-time finance administrator. This role works closely with management and the Board to ensure integrity and accuracy of all financial information as well as speed and efficiency of financial reporting.Key responsibilities of the role include:Oversee payroll processes, processing payroll if requiredOversee accounts payable and receivable, troubleshoot and provide guidance as requiredCash book and general ledger managementAsset and fleet register management, ensure assets are correctly acquired, tracked and disposed ofCompletion of quarterly reviews and spot checks of assetsInsurance maintenance and management, ensure all assets are correctly insured and insurance policies are reviewed annually, responsible for amendments to Board insurance policiesAttend and provide financial reports for monthly management meetingsLead and manage the organisations financial operations, including development and implementation of annual financial plan and budgetsStrategy development, planning and reportingFinancial management, oversee day-to-day financial affairs, ensuring most effective use of resources and expenditureKaimahi management, this role will have direct reportsLeadership and trainingNga pukenga me whai | The ideal candidate will have:A relevant professional qualification in accounting or financeAdvanced accounting knowledge and skills, with 5-10 years relatedexperienceBroad knowledge of quality systems management and risk assessmentA sound knowledge of Xero, NZA Gold or similar accounting packageExperience and working knowledge in accounts receivable, accounts payable and payrollExcellent written and verbal communication skills, able to negotiate, lead and directExperience managing multiple projects and meeting stringent deadlinesAdvanced computer, I.T and use of management information systems skillsExcellent administration and leadership qualitiesIt goes without saying that you will be a confident leader, able to deliver results, by championing and empowering your team through strong vision and leadership.
