Executive Podcast Producer - News Specialist MediaWorks Programming & Production (Advertising, Arts & Media) This role is responsible for the overall quality and relevance of the content, driving audience engagement and delivering commercial elements for MediaWorks. Ideally you will be a news and current affairs producer and/or journalist with experience leading live studio production and produce podcasts content. The Role Initially the role will be focused on delivery of Duncan Garner: Editor In Chief, and soon after will encompass additional titles. As Executive Podcast Producer - News Specialist you will be accountable for each podcast's production schedule, budget, structure, writing, and research. Always communicating and collaborating effectively with the team to maintain alignment with each podcasts' objectives. Responsibilities include: Relaunch of the Duncan Garner: Editor-in-Chief podcast Creation, development and ongoing production of a Live Updated News Bulletin Podcast: utilising the skills and journalism of the MediaWorks news room, this podcast will be a digital version of the hourly news bulletins that currently run across our radio brands. Identify and craft compelling daily news, opinion and entertainment podcasts, leveraging a wide network of contacts and media sources. Collaborate with internal and external producers, creators, and contributors to deliver original podcast content (both audio and video) that is high in quality, on time, and within budget. Work with Digital Content Producers to identify online and social content which helps grow the podcast brand. About You You must have an in-depth understanding of national and international news, passionate to create content that stands out and resonates with the audience. Be an ideas generator and resourceful to turn your ideas into compelling content under pressure. Experience in live in-studio video and/or audio content creation being able to direct and produce in fast pace live to air environments. You will have knowledge of the technical aspects of studio and podcast production. Strong, creative story-telling skills whilst being always highly organised and efficient. A thorough understanding of legal issues related to broadcasting standards authority (BSA) and defamation, especially in the context of live shows.
