Environmental Advisor - Takitimu North Link

The role: Reporting to the Environmental Manager, this position will play a key role in providing technical and practical support to the project team in relation to environmental management. Your key focus will be to oversee the environmental performance on the Takitimu North Link Project and its sub-contractors, maintaining high standards and ensuring all compliance obligations are met. Strong communication and people skills are a must for this role, as you will be working in a collaborative and supportive environment. You'll be part of high performing team, and have the opportunity to work with some of the best civil construction professionals in the business.About you:Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Environmental Science or related discipline3 - 5 years plus experience in a construction environmental advisory role or similarExperience with resource consents and compliance processesDemonstrable knowledge of key principles such as ecology, noise and vibration management, erosion and sediment control, heritage, hazardous substances and water quality regulationDemonstrable experience in coaching and mentoring that empowers others to own and lead a positive environmental cultureAn understanding of, or an appreciation for Te Ao Maori, ensuring our Iwi partners are involved in every step of the environmental control process.Good understanding of regional regulatory requirements and relevant legislationExperience assisting with the writing and implementation of management plans, technical reports & investigationsTeam player with a positive, enthusiastic attitude and excellent communication skillsWhat we offer:HEB offers an excellent benefits package to our employees.
