The Role As the Engineering Manager, you will lead our engineering team in managing all aspects of site engineering needs, including maintenance, project management, energy management, compliance, and strategic planning. This is a full-time, permanent role with opportunities for growth and development within our company. Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Team Management Lead, mentor, and develop engineering staff to achieve service requirements and company objectives. Promote a maintenance and reliability-focused culture within the team. Conduct annual staff appraisals, set objectives, and provide coaching for continuous improvement. Strategic Management Provide technical advice and solutions to company and plant management. Develop and maintain a strategy plan for the Engineering Department aligned with company objectives. Oversee project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and contract management. Energy and Compliance Management Monitor energy usage, identify areas for improvement, and manage energy contracts. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain up-to-date compliance certificates. Budget Management Develop and monitor the Engineering Services budget, optimizing revenue and minimizing costs. Achieve financial targets through effective resource management and budget adherence. Experience/Knowledge and Skills: Minimum 10 years of practical engineering experience with a formal Engineering Trade Qualification. Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance, health and safety management, and budget management. Experience in the meat industry or manufacturing plants is preferred. Digitally literate, proficient in Microsoft Office. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
