Water Treatment Plant Operator

Job Description SPM Awarua is looking for a self-motivated individual who is keen to start, or further a career in utilities. The role will see you involved in the daily operation of the water treatment plant and with a focus on safety and quality at all times. The position requires people to be well organised and have the ability to problem solve while working in a team environment. Other duties will include: Plant maintenance Routine inspection of the waste water ponds Grounds maintenance Holding a national certificate in Water Treatment (or currently working towards this) is desirable but not essential. For the right candidate who is genuinely interested in this area of work, we will help you work towards the necessary qualifications . Qualifications Full class 2 license. You will preferably have experience in water treatment plants; and reticulation of water and waste water systems.
