Duty Nurse Manager - Christchurch Hospital Part time 0.5FTE fixed term covering parental leave to May 2025 (Potential for an additional 0.2FTE on further discussion) Senior RN with extensive nursing experience either clinically or in a relevant senior nursing role Autonomous role responsible for the co-ordination and management of patient flow processes for Christchurch Hospital Mo te tunga | About the role We are seeking an experienced senior Registered Nurse with a passion to join our Senior Nursing Team as a Duty Nurse Manager on a fixed term basis within Nursing Support Services.
The Nursing Support Team provides cover to all clinical areas, including medical, surgical, paediatrics, women's health, and emergency care at Christchurch Hospital.
In this role you will work autonomously and be responsible for the co-ordination and management of patient flow processes for Christchurch Hospital: weekdays, after hours, weekends and Public Holidays. You will demonstrate a wide-ranging career expertise and a pragmatic, organised approach with an obvious passion to multitask and make sound decisions on the go. These skills will be key to your success in this interesting, challenging, and varied role. Post graduate experience in leadership and management and/or experience in nursing leadership is a definite advantage but all applicants will be considered based on the applicants' career experience, and desire for a senior leadership position.
