About the role The position of Director, Strategic Communications and Engagement at The Salvation Army, New Zealand Fiji Tonga Territory, is a pivotal senior leadership role and in collaboration with the Board, Territorial Leaders, Assistant Chief Secretary, and other Senior Leaders has the responsibility for leading and developing all aspects of the TSA's organisation wide strategic communications strategy, delivery and stakeholder engagement journey. This includes whole of organisation awareness, engagement and embedding our Vision, Mission Statement and Values, and reinforcing the themes and principle held within our He Waka Eke Noa Strategic Framework. This position will have the special focus of supporting NZFTS TSA's executive and senior leadership to bring to life the essence of the organisation's strategy, culture, its successes and accomplishments, and to inspire and motivate its officers, staff, volunteers, key stakeholders and supporters to participate in increasing TSA's Mission Impact for and on behalf of the communities we are part of and serve. This position will enable and ensure key messaging around the organisation's mission, values, and initiatives and ensure that they are communicated effectively to officers, staff, volunteers, congregations and key stakeholders using the appropriate media and communication channels.
