Ko matou tenei | Who we areThe Labour Leader's Office (LLO) supports the Labour Party Leader and Labour Party members of Parliament in their parliamentary duties. We provide a range of political services, advice, analysis and communications services (written, printed and digital).We are a dedicated, energetic and progressive team who ensure the Labour Party Leader and Caucus are well supported. We are committed to supporting the Labour Leader and our MPs as we fulfil our role in Opposition, in the 54th Parliament.Mo te tunga | About the roleWe are looking for a designer to join the team for 12 months, ideally commencing mid-March 2024, to cover a period of parental leave. This is currently a part-time role (32 hours per week, 0.8FTE), although if you'd prefer to work full-time (40 hours per week), we are open to discussing this further.The designer provides a wide range of in-house digital design services to the Labour Leader's Office and Members of Parliament. This includes developing MP publicity material and managing the print production process as well as assembling video, graphics, audio and text into a finished product for social media platforms. The role is responsible for managing design requests that come into the Labour Leader's Office and working with other members of the team and external suppliers (e.g, printers) to get the work done in a timely and efficient way.To kete | What you will bring to the role:We are looking for someone with experience as a professional designer with a strong portfolio of previous work.
