In this role you will join ANZ's accomplished Legal team and will provide legal support to our corporate functions to ensure legal and regulatory compliance, with a particular focus on treasury funding programs, corporate governance and climate-related disclosures. Other key responsibilities of the role will include the following: Provide timely, high quality, commercially focused advice on regulatory and legal issues to contribute to the delivery of key strategic objectives Partner with the business to provide thought leadership and legal advice, and work proactively to identify and resolve any potential legal issues with commercial outcomes in mind Engage and build critical working relationships with internal key stakeholders including Treasury, Company Secretary and ESG, and trusted external partners, ensuring ANZ's interests are protected Role Location: Wellington Role Type: Permanent, FulltimeOu Pukenga? - What will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: At least 5 years' post-qualification experience from a top tier NZ law firm or large organisation (or equivalent foreign firm) with a focus on complex financing transactions and corporate governance matters. Strong interpersonal skills, with the confidence to liaise effectively with individuals at all levels including senior management. A detail oriented, curious, and pragmatic problem-solving mindset; with the ability to make sound judgements with clear and concise verbal and written communication Excellent planning, co-ordinating and prioritisation skills; strong initiative and proactive attitude to meet commitments and undertake additional responsibilities that add value You're not expected to have % of these skills.
