Youwill play a vital role in ensuring that our Tamariki receive nutritious,well-balanced meals that support their growth and development. You will beresponsible for planning and preparing morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea,following food safety regulations, and maintaining a clean and organisedkitchen.At times, you may be required to provide additionalsupport on the floor to maintain staff-to-child ratios and ensure a safe and engaginglearning environment. Aboutyou – You'll have:A Certificate in Food and Beverage Service (Level 3)or related field. A Food Safety Certificate. A sound understanding of nutritional needs for Tamarikiages 3 months to 5 years old. The ability to cook 30-50 child portion meals andsnacks daily. Knowledge of the Food Act 2014 and NationalProgramme 2. A Full NZ Drivers' License (Class 1). A sound understanding of te reo Maori phrases, mihiand greetings, and Maori values, culture, and tikanga, would be advantageous.This role is classified as a Core Worker and willneed to pass a safety check under the Children's Act 2014.
