Contracts Supervisor

The Opportunity

For our respectable client Viridian Glass, we are looking for a new Contracts Supervisor. Viridian Glass is a leading provider of residential and commercial glass and glazing services in New Zealand. Their services cover everything from energy efficient double glazing, shower screens, splash backs, pool fences and balustrades through to their Euroglass premium fittings and installation.

What you're there to do:

Responsible for implementing safe, profitable and effective supervision of subordinate glazing teams, comprised of both employees and contractors, to perform glass installations on time to customers' expectations, without risk to employees, environment, product or equipment, customers or third parties and their property.
This role includes a hands-on element whereby you will spend some portion of your time on the tools installing glass.
Develop and maintain a team-based culture within the glazing team
The working days and hours are from Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 04:00 pm.

Skills & experience you'll bring:
You have proven experience in developing and leading a team;
Strong demonstrated commitment to quality, safety and customer service;
Experience working in a factory, warehouse, construction or manufacturing environment;
Safety focused individual with proven record of following and directing safe procedures and ensure H&S policies are met;
Strong work ethic and positive attitude;
An effective delegator and results driven type of leadership;
Glass experience and knowledge will be a bonus, however it's not completely essential if you are strong in other areas.
