The Opportunity: We are looking for an experienced and people-focused Surfacing Contracts Manager to bring their particular skill set to the Surfacing Division. This is a diverse and challenging hands-on role that includes both office and site-based activities. As the Surfacing Contracts Manager, your purpose is to provide a work environment that allows your team to succeed, co-ordinate and manage specific operations, deliver on contract requirements, optimize resource use, complete tender, and pricing requirements, claims and achieve target results. As mentioned, our people are our biggest asset, so you must be able to have open and honest conversations with your team and be people focused. This particular role would be responsible for managing and coordinating surfacing contracts, from residential driveways, sub-divisions, and large scale roading works, so you must have a high level of experience and understanding of the required methodology, technical aspects of the works and ability to problem solve. You will have: - Proven practical and operational experience in surfacing works - An ability to think creatively on your feet and problem solve - Experience in managing and supervising multiple projects - The ability to communicate respectfully and honestly at all levels - A practical understanding of Quality Assurance and Health and Safety in the workplace - The ability to work as a team player with a great sense of humour and an enthusiasm that inspires success within the team - Pass a pre-employment drug screen - Be able to provide references that support your application.
