Job Description - Community Physiotherapist (HAW07765)
Community Physiotherapist
Vacancy No Vacancy No : HAW07765
Success is not the work of one, but the work of many. Physiotherapy, Community, Permanent full or part time opportunity.
We are sad to be losing one of our valued Physiotherapists who is moving away from New Zealand, but this creates a new opportunity for someone else and that someone might be YOU!
We would welcome applications from those with a minimum of 2 years relevant minimum of clinical experience who are passionate about community-based work.
Let's not kid ourselves, we know that Registered Physiotherapists could have the pick of multiple jobs across the public and private sector, so, why would you choose to work with us?
Well first up, let's be honest. We can't compete with the salaries offered in some private practices, we can't offer you financial incentives, small caseloads, or a cruisy work day but what we can offer is for you to be part of a dedicated, energetic and creative team of people who care about supporting people to remain living well in their homes.
This role involves far less report writing than is required and a better work life balance than private sector work. The cyclone in 2023 helped us re-evaluate how we can ensure our team can achieve a better work – life balance so have flexible working styles and hours.
What we are offering you is to become part of a service that cares about their community and their team. Our jobs are very serious and have huge impacts on the lives of others but along the way you will build relationships and comradeship with the team who will support you in your everyday work.
Our services employs around 50 staff including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers, Dietitians, Speech & Language Therapists and Therapy Assistants, who work together across the community supporting adults to remain living well in their homes.
We want 'can do' people who have a passion for doing whatever it takes to support our most vulnerable to live their best life. No two days will look the same, there will never be a shortage of work but we will have lots of fun along the way and provide a great team spirit. We would welcome you to be part of a multi-disciplinary team working in partnership with other departments and service providers to come up with creative solutions for complex situations.
You will have the opportunity to work alongside highly experienced Physiotherapists and other experienced clinicians already in our service as well as the Professional Lead to continue to develop your skills and knowledge. You will have opportunities for professional development and supervision.
If you are currently living outside of the Hawke's Bay area and need any other reasons to work for us then consider that currently Hawke's Bay gets upwards of 2,250 hours of sunshine each year, fresh produce, vineyards, art deco and the ocean right on our front door step.
New Zealand registration, current Annual Practicing Certificate and current clean driving license are essential.
