Job Description

The Commercial Manager will partner with the NZ public and wider state sector, creating strategic partnerships with ministries, departments, agencies and institutes to develop their IP into solutions that can be commercialised and sold to foreign governments. The Commercial Manager will build influential relationships at senior executive level, build capability, and provide support to each agency to deliver internationally.
This role is based in Wellington.
Who we are:

The Government to Government Partnerships Team (G2G– Know How) works in partnership with the New Zealand public sector, commercialising its globally recognised expertise by selling it to foreign governments and in turn generating international revenue for the New Zealand public sector. The priority areas of expertise that G2G promotes include Education, Sustainable Food Systems (Food Supply, Food Safety), Government Innovation and Effectiveness.
What you’ll be doing:

Our Commercial Managers build influential relationships at senior executive level, provide support to and develop the capability of agencies to deliver internationally. You will use your strong commercial acumen and sector experience in education to promote New Zealand tertiary education, especially technical and vocational training, school systems and governance, early childhood education both in country and through distance education. You’ll engage and develop strategic partnerships and work collaboratively with a challenging mix of NZ and international stakeholders.
We are seeking candidates who have experience working within the Education sector and have an understanding/experience in one or more of these areas.

Classroom and Learner Management
