The role Hybrid role, East Tamaki Office. This is a People Leadership role (3 direct reports) leading the development and maintenance of Cloud Platform solutions. This role will also help develop the overall Technology strategy and roadmap working directly with various teams across the business to help define what the problems are and help lift the understanding of what is possible.
You will work with business units and other IT teams to deploy Cloud Infrastructure that is secure, cost effective and performant
The role will help implement the new modern practices from managing Cloud Infrastructure
Modernise our current Cloud Infrastructure to a standardised consistent architecture
Transition our on-premises infrastructure to a best practice cloud architecture.
About you You will be a great communicator and collaborator. Building rapport and being an influencer are all key attributes.
5-8 years of experience as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer and 3-5 years as a Lead or Manager
5+ years of experience designing and executing Cloud Infrastructure e . g . AWS, Azure
5+ years of experience IaC tools like Terraform, Azure Resource Manager and/or AWS Cloud Formation
Stron g understanding of cloud networking concepts including VPCs, subnets, security groups and VPNs
Experience in Windows and Linux server administration
Knowledge of cloud storage services e . g. AWS S3, Azure Blob and DBs
Understanding of container technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
Understanding of cloud security best practices for identity Management, encryption and monitoring.
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
Project Management of integration delivery
Strong understanding and hands-on experience in SCRUM and Agile engineering practices.
