About the RoleWe currently have an opportunity for a Quality Co-ordinator to join the Directorate of Nursing and Patient Whaanau Experience. You will provide clinical co-ordination for Certification audit to meet Nga Paerewa standards, Fundamentals of Care, Nursing Professional Practice Committee, Transformational Thursday, and support patient experience forums. This is a full time Monday to Friday position based at Middlemore Hospital.This position will provide you with an appreciation of organisational strategies and improvement initiatives, and opportunities to develop strong relationships with leaders and senior staff of the organisation and across divisions. The role is diverse and gives insight of the organisation and a great opportunity to step into a senior role.Who are we looking for?The ideal candidate would have A qualified health professional Post-graduate diploma in nursing, management, or healthcare related or in progressMinimum of 5 years' clinical experience in the health sector, with a solid foundation within the NZ public health settingHighly skilled and experienced at time management and work prioritisation skillsAn understanding of te ao Maaori values and worldview, and having a good understanding of te Tiriti o Waitangi articles, and committed to ongoing learningA culturally safe approach to practice An ability to establish and maintain strong effective working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels and a proven ability to develop trust with internal and external partnersAdaptable and influential with exceptional organisation skillsSound knowledge of quality improvement and skillsStrong attention to detail and a love of dataA proactive, lean-in attitude, and an inquisitive nature Excellent written and verbal communication skills The role has a level of autonomy and applicants will need to be self-driven to manage time-pressured work but also need to work as part of the Patient Safety and Quality Assurance team.
