Clinical Nurse Specialist, Infection Prevention & Control Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity Clinical Nurse Specialist Infection Prevention and control – 0.8FTE, permanent position! An exciting opportunity is available for a highly motivated and innovative nurse for the role of Clinical Nurse Specialist in Infection control at Health NZ Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau. 
We are seeking applications from experienced senior registered nurses looking to make Infection Control their career direction. 
The role of the CNS in infection control is exciting and unique. We are looking for a registered nurse with a special interest in infection prevention and control and hand hygiene, with prior post graduate education, surveillance/auditing, excellent communication and presentation skills, is a team player, computer savvy, and has a genuine commitment to quality and service. You don't have to fulfil all the requirements of the position, so applications are open to all Registered nurses interested in the next step of their nursing career.
The successful applicant will work alongside a team of experienced IPC nurse specialists, admin and operational lead, in collaborations with a multi-disciplinary infection control service.
The successful applicant will have: NZ nursing registration with a current Annual Practising Certificate Minimum 5 years clinical nursing experience in New Zealand Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand A minimum PDRP of proficient or Expert.  Great working hours: Mon-Fri, no nights, no pm shifts no Weekends.
