About the role

The key purpose of this role is to enhance Humes’ market leadership position in plastic and merchandise and contributing to the business” overall performance objectives.The role is responsible for leading all category aspects of the plastic and merchandise range of purchased products to ensure the achievement of agreed business targets relating to profitability; including pricing, product ranging, process disciplines, lifecycle management, supplier selection and management, innovation and new product launch.Along with individual accountability, a key focus of the role is to engage and motivate the wider sales and distribution teams to target sales revenue and market share growth for the plastic and merchandise categories. You will also be engaging with preferred suppliers to maintain/enhance quality while driving any unnecessary cost from the procurement process.About youYou will have proven experience and expertise in excellent category management practices and disciplines, as well as a track record in delivering commercial outcomes.You will be responsible for implementing the strategy, direction, and performance for Humes plastic and merchandise products and services across the business.
