We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented, highly motivated, and driven Area Sales Manager to join the Southern sales team. The Opportunity: We initially require an ASM to cover the Essex and N.E. London Area. This role is initially to cover maternity leave for 9-12 months but after this period the role will be retained, and a suitable geographical area will be appointed. We require an ASM to start asap to allow for training and handover by the incumbent ASM, who goes on maternity leave at the end of June 2023. The role reports directly to the Regional Director for the Southern Region, the ASM will be responsible for managing an existing customer base within an assigned territory. This is a field-based role and the area will cover several counties across the Southern region. The customer base would primarily be electrical wholesalers and would also involve working with electrical contractors on lighting project requirements. The ideal candidate should have customer account sales experience in a previous role. We are looking for an individual who has real energy with drive and determination to deliver agreed sales targets. Below is a full list of the responsibilities: Achieve set sales targets for all wholesaler accounts across your assigned territory Develop and build relationships with wholesale branch managers, buyers, and trade counter-staff Develop and execute business plans to drive growth within existing wholesaler customer base Diligently follow monthly call plans to ensure all accounts are serviced on a monthly basis Complete detailed preparation prior to all customer meetings/calls Target both day to day stock orders and lighting project opportunities across customer base Train all relevant personnel within wholesaler branch on new and existing product ranges Collaborate with internal department to provide technical and customer service support to customer base Deliver ROI on promotional and marketing activity across customer base Provide ongoing feedback to manager on market trends such as competitor pricing information and market conditions Keep all customer records regarding pricing, purchasing patterns and contacts up to date Participate in industry trade fairs Complete monthly reporting requirements Commercial acumen required to review and report on monthly performance vs budget, targets and forecast providing variance analysis Present at monthly divisional sales meetings Manage and update project pipeline database on a monthly basis Possess a full clean driving license Preferred Qualification: Experience in field sales or account management role Experience in lighting sales and/or technical knowledge Working knowledge of the lighting and electrical industry Proficient in Relux or Dialux lighting designs Proficient in Excel & Power-point An excellent open-ended bonus scheme Fully maintained company car Training and ongoing career development Laptop and mobile phone Pension Job Type: Full time position Please send your CV along with a covering letter to Roger Harold at ****** #J-18808-Ljbffr
