Permanent full time opportunity available The Ministry of Social Development is committed to helping New Zealanders to be safe, strong and independent - Manaaki tangata, Manaaki whanau.
As a Case Manager, every day is busy and demanding and as the face of the organisation, you'll engage with and work alongside clients to support them into work, training or community participation. You'll also ensure people receive their correct income support entitlements and housing assistance.
Our clients come from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures so a non-judgmental approach to serving others is required. On any given day you'll interview clients face to face and by telephone, all with different circumstances. If you are focused on achievement and can practically help others to set goals and discover their potential, you will enjoy the challenges and team work within our Service Centres.
Skills and Experience Sound computer skills and the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to develop trust and rapport quickly.Sound decision making and problem-solving skills.The ability to adapt in a changing environment.Being well organised.Experience working with others to deliver.Facilitation and relationship management experience.
