About the Role:
Reporting into the experienced Business Manager - Industrial and working alongside a supportive national team with links to the Retail team also.
This technical role is accountable to seek industrial customer opportunities through a mix of warm leads, growing the existing customer base, with a major targeted focus on hunting new business in the South Island.
While the role naturally has some account management, the focus is on new targets particularly in the architect/specifier space. Lucky for you, this proven, global successful business has a focussed approach to the products and solutions for industrial customers which enables a unique USP for sales in the long sales process.
· Targeting industrial customers in the building, construction and infrastructure space this role has the support of one of the largest and most respected suppliers of sealants, foams and adhesives to the New Zealand construction industry with a commitment and focus on sustainability and environmental safety

About You:
You will be an outgoing, technically minded person who is comfortable creating and building and maintaining relationships with the right level of EQ and engineering mindset to become a trusted provider of solutions closing with a range of industrial customers
You will therefore have a hunter mentality with a detail focussed approach with proven results of converting industrial customers and dealing directly with Architects in the simplification model, with experience in Masterspec and/or BCI and relationship account management experience

Experience in flooring, waterproofing or aluminium is ideal, however really a technically minded person with good understanding of the industrial sales process.
You are comfortable working autonomously as well as part of a fun, supportive team, with national travel required as you’d expect
