We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our Transactions and Investments (T&I) domain in the Digital & Apps group. In T&I our mission is to co-create a modern, resilient and adaptable core that enables smarter banking for our communities.
As a Business Analyst within T&I you will be responsible for delivering high quality analysis, requirements and recommendations to ensure that our systems are designed and maintained to meet the needs of the Bank's customers, our internal partners and the system vision. This role will work across our Customer and Transactional Systems which are core to BNZ's operations and is in an experienced development team.
You'll have an engaging, collaborative style that closes the gap between the team and customers working across complex and multi-functional stakeholder groups including customers, product owners, designers, your own and other development teams. Needless to say, strong communication and influencing skills are vital, as is the ability to dip into your toolkit of analytical skills to understand customer problems.
You and your Product Owner will be tight - supporting each other through all aspects of the product lifecycle - from requirements through to build-measure-learn. You'll create user stories that deliver the desired customer value and support the gathering of technical requirements, the development of technical documentation and the mapping of delivery dependencies. You'll ideally have an agile mindset and will assist with the team's agile ceremonies.

Essential:
3-5 years' business analysis experience with an emphasis on technology.
Excellent collaboration and facilitation skills working with customers, the product team and key stakeholders to understand the vision and roadmap, and to ensure that business requirements are clearly articulated in user stories.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak clearly to both technical and business concerns
Great analytical skills, self-organising and open-minded
Desirable:
Experience working within an Agile software development environment
A passion for solving real customer problems
Experience working with Banking industry products or services
Experience working with external vendors
Exposure to usability and / or best-practice design.
Interest in the Business requirements management methodology and developing best practice standards
Experience with JIRA, Confluence and writing technical documentation
