Automation Supervisor

Electrical/Electronic Engineering (Engineering) We have an exciting opportunity for a driven, hardworking, tech-savvy person who has experience in an automation environment or robotics role (or people who have a deep interest in the subject) to join our team at our Collins Lane site in Te Puke. Reporting to the Packhouse Manager, this role will be responsible for all day-to-day supervision of the automation teams and all production related automated packing technology. A key focus of this role will include operations, maintenance, and optimisation of our current and future automated systems. You may also be involved with the design, installation, and commissioning of any future automated projects and equipment. As you will be supervising and working alongside teams of both permanent and seasonal staff, you will need to have excellent people & communication skills to support and equip line managers with a range of skills required to perform their job effectively. To be successful in this role, you will need: Experience in an automation or robotics role or environment (or have a deep interest in the subject). Ability to set, understand and achieve cost, productivity, quality, safety targets and KPI's. Basic mechanical aptitude and practical skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. The ability to work well under pressure and be able to make good decisions. Good communication skills and the ability to work in a diverse team. At EastPack we have our peak packing season from March – June where our sheds are in full swing, and all the action is happening!
