Position Overview
This is a permanent, full-time appointment and is an excellent opportunity for you to gain further momentum in your career, with some large herd and multi-herd experience. You will be able to make the most of this opportunity while being exposed to exciting new research and modern farming systems.
So, if you have a minimum of three years of dairying experience and want to gain further momentum in your career, then this is an excellent opportunity for you.
The salary package will be dependent on your experience and includes housing. The farm is close to the city of Palmerston North, which enables easy access to exceptional schools and community facilities.
We offer 5 days on 2 days off and all required PPE gear is provided by the University.
Au Mahi | What you will do
The position is on a 600-cow farm, through a state of art modern rotary dairy shed. Duties will include but are not limited to, assisting with staff management and roster planning, organizing casual staff, assisting with record keeping, milking, tractor work, stock management, and general farm maintenance duties.
To be successful in appointment to this position, you will need to have a strong work ethic and proven dairy farming ability.
