Position Summary

Your Opportunity

We’re hiring in our central Auckland location for a talented Assistant Brand Manager who will be a part of the team that builds the plans for some of New Zealand’s most successful and iconic Petcare brands.

Your key responsibilities will be:
• Support the development of insight-driven brand strategy and plans to drive long term sustainable growth
• Work cross functionally with shopper marketing, category, sales, finance and supply teams in the deployment of insight-driven marketing activity
• Assist with the commercialisation and launch of product innovation and renovation projects
• Effective brand performance tracking against business targets, including recommendations aiming at maximising brand targets
• Provide strategic marketing support to the Senior Brand Manager with a focus on driving sustainable sales growth and profitability of the portfolio

What we are looking for in you?
We are looking for someone who is passionate, driven, has excellent communication and time management skills and can juggle multiple projects and stakeholders at once. You will have a hunger to learn the ropes of FMCG brand marketing and a genuine love of pets and making a difference in their lives and the people that love them every day. This role is fast-paced and will require you to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in – in return you will benefit from a really supportive team environment, the ability to make a difference to all aspects of the marketing mix for global market leading brands and excellent learning and development opportunities from Nestle.
To be successful in this role, we’re looking for a marketer, preferably from a FMCG background, with a minimum of 2 years experience and:
• Education from preferably a Business or Marketing discipline
• Exposure across the marketing mix, including campaign management and digital
• Strong Project and time management skills
• Competent understanding of P&L management
• Experience of analysing complex data and using that to make relevant strategic recommendations.
• Strong communication and influencing skills
