A recent opportunity for an AMO in our Whangarei based Animal Management team has become available. We are keen to speak to an experienced Animal Management Officer (AMO) or someone who simply has a positive outgoing attitude who have experience liaising with members of the public, complainants, SPCA, NZ Police, DOC local Iwi. About the role: You will have interactions with owners of wandering stock and owners of canines from all walks of life and be responsible for investigating any animal welfare complaints, enforcing animal welfare laws, and educating the public on safe animal practices and much more in this high workload position, also including Bylaw Management. Becoming an Animal Management Officer (AMO) is a unique and challenging role that requires a combination of skills, education, and personal attributes. If you have love for animals, enjoy helping people and can handle stressful situations, then this Animal Management Officer (AMO) role may be right for you.
