Allrounder

Our fish and chips shop based in South Dunedin is looking for an Allrounder to assist us in our busy shop. What you will do ·      Greeting customers, take orders ·      Take payments ·      Assist in assembling takeaway orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all items are included . ·      Assist in food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, cutting meat, fish, preparing sauces, and other essential kitchen duties. ·      Assist in assembling ingredients according to orders ·       Transfer, weigh and check supplies and equipment s ·      Assist in monitoring kitchen inventory, ingredients, notifying when supplies are low, and stocktake periodically. ·       Assist in deepfrying, grilling and heating food when needed ·       U nload of delivered food supplies. ·       Organis e and correctly store food supplies, ingredients. ·       Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen , including washing dishes, grills, deep fryer, sanitizing surfaces, and cooking appliances, and storing them in the right place. ·       Maintain cleanliness of the shop, sweep and mop the floors , clean the walls, make sure the shop is clean before opening. ·       Dispose waste and rubbish properly before closing. ·      Adhere to all health and safety standards, including proper food handling, storage, and ensure a safe environment.   Requirements: ·      Previous experience in a kitchen environment or similar role is preferred but not mandatory. Training may be provided. ·      Must be able to start working in the early morning and weekend, we open 7 days a week. ·      Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. ·      Good personal hygiene and physical healthy ·      Able to work as part of team ·      Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights. ·      A positive attitude, reliability, and a passion for food. ·      We offer 30-40 hours/weeks and salary range is $2 4 -$30 depending on your experience.
