The successful candidate will ideally be able to work across all trades.The position will take a lead role in managing the solid waste services including: Waste collection, including recycling and food wasteProcessing and preparation of solid waste for transportEnsuring the Material Resource Facility (MRF) is kept to a high standardComplete waste management related purchasing and invoicingLearn village water and wastewater systemsUndertake duty officer responsibilities for Local Body operationsSupporting the maintenance of infrastructure, plant, roads, and footpath networksParticipating in the road snow clearing programme as requiredEquipment maintenance & preventative maintenance checksParticipating in rural fire training and response or other emergency responses to meet the department's obligations This is a permanent, full-time role based in Aoraki Mount Cook.
