Agritrade Product Managerread More

PGG Wrightson Limited trading as "Agritrade" has an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager to champion the Animal Health and Animal Nutrition categories within the Agritrade portfolio. These are growth categories for our business, supported by expertise from internal vets, logistics professionals and both internal and external sales channels that reach a broad range of industry customers.
Reporting directly to the Agritrade Product Development Manager, this role guides products through their life-cycle of development, marketing, distribution and sales, ensuring the right balance is struck between the commercial and technical advantages of each product, and, ultimately, growing the Agritrade business. Agritrade sells directly to rural Retail Stores, Distributors, and Veterinarians, so a passion for the agriculture, animal well-being and farming sectors, along with excellent relationship building skills, will be vital to the success of this role.
To succeed in this role you will need:
Customer focus with the ability to interact effectively with all stakeholders
Industry related technical product sales or service experience
An affinity for agriculture, animal health, animal nutrition and farm systems
Varied product knowledge across the Animal Health and Animal Nutrition categories
Strong commercial acumen
Knowledge of relevant regulatory, quality assurance and control requirements
Excellent time management, written and verbal communication skills
A track record of collaborating with internal stakeholders in order to deliver to suppliers and customers
It is our preference that this role be based in Christchurch or Hamilton, however consideration will be given to the right candidate who is based close to a major regional airport throughout New Zealand.
