Job Description Coroners Court Administration Support OfficerAucklandPermanent – Full Time Position Te Haeata/The OpportunityAs a Coroners Court Administration Support Officer, you will be based in Auckland and will work alongside Case managers and Coroners. You will be responsible for the administrative tasks of the office in the Auckland Court. On occasion, there may be times when you are called upon to assist on other matters or other Coroners outside your region.These key responsibilities will include:Efficient and effective administrative servicesConfidential and professional secretarial and word processing supportEnsuring our electronic database (CMS) is up to date, complete and accurate.Liaising and providing information to stakeholders and Government Agencies, in particular; Interested parties, Police, Medical practitioners and Pathologists and others.Services to support the management of, and attendance by, Coroners and Coroners Court personnel at meetings and eventsYou will have strong interpersonal skills that will support your work with the Coroners, but also be capable of dealing with distraught family members in sensitive circumstances. An ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds is essential.You will be expected to provide excellent and highly organised case management support to our Coroners and Case managers. You will need to build and maintain excellent relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. O pukenga/Skills and ExperienceTo be successful in this role you will:Be able to handle accessing and viewing graphic coronial materialRelationship Management and communication skills are key, both internally and externally as you will be dealing with incredibly delicate informationHave an understanding and appreciation of cultural issues and concerns in particular Tikanga MaoriBe highly organised, able to prioritise and multitask in an autonomous mannerStrong understanding of the MS Office SuiteNo candidate will meet every single desired qualification.
