Full time, Fixed term, Start Date: 29/04/2024, End Date: 12/12/2024 (Transitional Appointment)Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacherEnglish, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Maori, The artsWe are seeking a candidate to assist us to set up and run the Achievement Centre at Ruawai College. Applications for a member to join our school as a an Achievement Centre (ACH) Lead are sought from future focussed professionals who:Have strengths in culturally responsive practice and an understanding of restorative practiceHave a commitment to standards of excellenceWill have strong pastoral and administrative skillsAble to work with key stakeholders across the community (via the Kaipara Alternative Education Consortium)Dimensions of this role:Leadership: Support the Kaipara Alternative Education Consortium by working within its processes and supporting RC staff to embed these. Provide quality role modeling to students within the ACH spaceOperational Leadership: Work with the Kaipara Alternative Education Consortium. This will involve regular case management meetings and cluster group huiStudent Support: Ensure the well-being and success of all students by implementing effective support systems and interventionsCommunity Engagement: Build strong partnerships with parents, community members, and stakeholders to enhance the overall educational experienceWhat do you need to be successful in this role:Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsCommitment to work as an effective partner in line with the schools Te Tiriti o Waitangi obligationsCommitment to work with our young people to ensure they have successful pathwaysCommitment to working in a cultural diverse setting is an advantage The successful candidate will have confidence and capabilities with technology, and be an active participant in our Professional Development Programme including Relationship Based Learning (RBL). There is an expectation of involvement in co-curricular activities on offer at the college.
