We are seeking an Accountant/Quantity Surveyor to join our team. This role combines financial skills with quantity surveying tasks to manage development and construction project finances, keep costs in check, provide regular reports, and ensure financial control from start to finish for each development project.Key responsibilities:Performing cost estimation, analysis, and control activities, as directed by the Project Manager and/or the Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO).  Supporting the Project Manager to tender for project workstreams and assisting in the comparison of quotes, proposals, etc to select the best supplier in terms of pricing, quality, and delivery. Developing and applying unit rates (cost and job hours) to quantity take-offs and to otherwise developed quantities within a discipline or other specialty.Maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and keeping accurate documentation related to project costs and financial transactions.Processing invoices according to contract terms and ensuring suppliers are promptly and correctly paid. Performing quantity surveying tasks, managing payment certifications, assessing variations, and collaborating with project stakeholders to oversee project finance, progress, and compliance with industry-standard regulations. Preparing Bill of Quantity (BOQ), and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).Contract administering.Identifying financial risks like price changes, labor shortages, and unforeseen site conditions, and develop risk mitigation strategies to reduce their impact on the project budget.Applying value engineering principles to suggest cost-effective alternatives to project designs and materials that can enhance value without compromising on quality and performance. Finalize project finances by settling all financial matters, completing project accounts, and conducting post-project reviews for lessons learned and areas of improvement.A supportive and collaborative work environment.Opportunities for both personal and professional developmentOnsite parking facilitiesKey Qualifications for the Role:A bachelor's degree in finance or engineering, with at least 2 years of relevant Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) industry in the. This experience may include project management, quantity surveyor, or accounting roles.Fluent in English is required; Mandarin language skills are a bonus.Demonstrated strong accounting, project management, building supplier relationships, and managing stakeholders effectively. Deep understanding of capital and service costs, adept scope change management, and a comprehensive grasp of Event-driven Process Change (EPC processes).Experience in land development and a proven track record in project management.Advanced knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes, ensuring seamless project execution.Familiarity with financial reporting systems, and account codes, with the ability to interpret and act upon instructions from management that may affect Project Controls, including updates on project finances and data on money earned.Proficient in key software tools such as Excel, Word, Project (Gantt Charts), and PowerPoint for executing vital for executing work processes efficiently. Confidence in engaging with external consultants, including accountants, engineers, and council representatives, to facilitate project success. Shape your Future with Us!Ready to make a difference with us?
