You will be part of a team managing day to day accounting activities, preparing financial reports and analysis, maintaining financial compliance, and assisting the Finance Manager with budgeting, preparation of annual financial statements and audits. This will be the second accountant role.Key AccountabilitiesManaged your assigned month-end and year-end accounting processes including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.Prepare draft reports, with analysis & recommendations, for review with the Finance Manager.Maintain the general ledger set up and fixed assets register.Assist the Finance Manager with assigned financial reporting, budgeting and service performance reviews.Assist with regulatory compliance and audits.Recommend improvements in systems and processes and work with other finance and internal staff to streamline processes and improve efficiencies.Key Requirements| Nga PukengaAccounting qualification (degree or diploma)Proven at least 3 years' experience working in accounting roles.Full New Zealand Driver's LicenceHold a valid/current work visa, residency, or citizenshipKnowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements in New Zealand.Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; experience with Xero is a plus.Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.Attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to maintaining the integrity of financial information.Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.When applying please have | Kia WhakauruUp to date CV preparedCover Letter detailing Why you're interested in the role?What skills, competencies and experience you bring to the role?"He aha te mea nui o te ao?
