The Role:
The position is a newly created role in an expanding area of the business that will report directly to the Head of Finance. You will be responsible for the day to day financial & management accounting services for the business channel. The role will be mentored not only by the Head of Finance but also key members of the senior leadership team, with a vision to mould the successful candidate to a senior role over time with long term career opportunities. The role requires a person to be curious, asks questions and seek answers.Responsibilities include:
Provide financial and management accounting services and support to a multiple site business division
Financial reporting
Reconciliation and investigations to ensure integrity of business accounting
Prepare monthly analysis of stocktakes and labour gains for multiple sites
Conduct detailed margin analysis
Assist with annual budgeting and monthly manufacturing forecasting
Ensure accurate performance of all balance sheet reconciliations and control reports
Assist with both internal and external audits
Commercial evaluation of manufacturing opportunities ? productivity, capex, shift/labour plans, margin and freight improvements
The building blocks to be successful:
CA qualified with 3-5 years? experience with excellent accounting background
Thorough understanding of P&L and Asset Registers
Solid understanding of the principles of financial reporting
Commercially astute
Highly motivated and proactive in approach
Adaptive and innovative in thought and process
Able to work autonomously
Looking to develop long term career in finance within the business
