The person we are looking for is someone who has qualifications and experience of working with and can effectively engage with rangatahi. You understand the principles of youth development and can apply these principles to your work. 
The Youth Development Coordinator will support the implementation of Council's approach to Youth Development through enabling and facilitating youth development initiatives by;
Leading the Hastings District Youth CouncilSupporting the Tuia programmeBuilding and maintaining strong working relationships with our youth worker networks and elected Council membersOu wheako –about you To be successful in this role you will have:A recognised industry qualification Initiative and be able to work in a team environment.A cool and collected manner when working under pressureAn understanding and respect for their health, wellbeing and wellnessAn innovative and proactive approach to solving problemsSituated in the heart of Ngati Kahungunu, the Hastings district and Hawke's Bay offer an enjoyable environment in which to live, work and play. We are an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity.
